A Day in the Woods with Shasta the Bernese Mountain Dog Puppy

Sniffing among the leaves, romping along wooded trails — what a perfect winter day for a smiling bernese mountain dog puppy named Shasta!  Her owner requested a dog-only photography session for Shasta as an add-on to her boarding stay at Sierra Dogs, and he planned to give the photographs to his wife as a Christmas gift.  So I took Shasta for an enjoyable afternoon in a nearby woods, knowing that allowing Shasta to explore and enjoy herself would help me create images which really reveal her happy, sweet, and fun nature.  When the owner saw the photos, it was impossible for him to pick just one, so I created a beautiful book of all session images, plus a large canvas, prints, and a small accordion-style brag book.  I got an email this morning letting me know the gift, and the images, were a big hit, so now I’m free to share a few of the photographs.  This is why I love being a pet photographer!  Enjoy!
